Wednesday, March 26, 2008 - Care To Surrender
Here, right now, on that long lonesome highway, traveled by many, remembered by few, looking for something I can believe in - something I'd like to do with my life ... when there's nothing to tie me to something that might have been true yesterday, tomorrow is open. Right now that seems more than enough, just to be here today. I don't know what the future is holding in store. I don't know where I'm going. I'm not sure where I've been, but right now I'll make my life worth living. I don't need to see the end. So live without care ... like a fish in the water; like a bird in the air. With a spirit that guides me and a light that shines before me, I must care enough to surrender.
Reflected upon 1st day of retirement.

That's a treasure of a thought this time of year. That thought certainly is NOT 'Scrooge', NOR 'Hallmarkie' - possibly the 2nd worse the first!? The Stuff of that thought is all together and all right, both well-wrapped and a gift, to those lucky enough to be around such a person - a special peace.

..... No religion's got the corner on divine truth nor the path for all nations. No religious texts have original scripts from a divine source. At most they claim 2nd hand inspiration and or reconstituted, flawed copy work.
..... Nor can so-called, inspired words speak for themselves - as consequent, on-going, interpretation self-evidently proves. Resorting to a final defense of mythical faith or a 1st cause is acceptable, but should not substitute itself for dogma and indoctrination.

So can it be safely concluded We [all mankind] need to pledge allegiance to the United Resources of the Universe and only to Peaceful Endeavors for which it stands, one assembly united under universality of religion and not of religion, with liberty and justice for all of One shared and Equal Space? |

The idea was to prevent tyranny. The way was to split power 3 ways. Although inefficient, it does check & balance Presidents & Political parties. The executive branch is held in check by the judiciary branch while the legislative branch implements or corrects judicial laws &/or has power to investigate even Presidents, their policies & process. The executive branch acts within (or not) this scheme.
The 2006 mid-term elections swung balance to the opposite party which now holds one triad of power to investigate. How far investigations go, including Corporations, Intelligence, or Military, may play out. Correction may be needed prior new course on national & international concerns.
