Here, right now, on that long lonesome highway, traveled by many, remembered by few, looking for something I can believe in - something I'd like to do with my life ... when there's nothing to tie me to something that might have been true yesterday, tomorrow is open. Right now that seems more than enough, just to be here today. I don't know what the future is holding in store. I don't know where I'm going. I'm not sure where I've been, but right now I'll make my life worth living. I don't need to see the end. So live without care ... like a fish in the water; like a bird in the air. With a spirit that guides me and a light that shines before me, I must care enough to surrender.
Reflected upon 1st day of retirement.
