The Knitter's Oracle

2 Days Short of Breaking the Habit

So, diets.....they suck huh?!

Apparently (psychologists say) if you can go for 21 days and 21 nights without doing something it means you've broken your habit. So my yarn diet started on the 1st Jan 2008. On the 19th January, I broke my resolution and bought a ball of yarn. The moral of this story is never try. ...No wait, I mean... just wait 2 days more.

However, despite this temporary lapse I think I'm actually doing quite well. Not only did I only walk out of the shop with just ONE ball of yarn, technically, if you count December 2007, I have actually gone 21 days + without buying yarn. Also added to this is the fact that I got the yarn for quite possibly the coolest project ever and I think a temporary lapse is allowed. (Like if you have one biscuit after a month of no cake and sweets).

I'm torn between mentioning what the project is now and saving it till it's finished and has piccys to go with it, but I think I'm going to hold out. (for those of you that know already, you'll have to wait). And the person that gave me the idea for that project has also added petrol to an already crazy flame, by giving me an even cooler project idea for when this is finished. (And I don't even have to buy more yarn ^_^)

In the mean time however I have progressed...not a lot on all the other projects. I figured out last night that it takes me about 2 hours to do 10 rows on Lilith. So I have about 120 rows to go which means that it will take me 24 more hours to complete it! I'm not really sure how cool that is, I thought it sounded better when I just worked it out as 2 weeks.

Ooh! While I'm here I thought I'd tell you about this new show that started last night on E4 (Freeview, Sky and Digital people :-P ). It's called 'Reaper' and basically revolves around one Sam Oliver, whose mum and dad sold his soul to the Devil. So the Devil basically uses Sam as a bounty hunter for all the souls that have managed to break out of Hell. The scary thing is the Devil is such a nice guy that you have to wonder what God's like.

Which reminds me of another show I used to watch called 'Bob, the Devil and God'. Why must they cancel the shows I love so much....?

Ok well time's ticking so gotta run, but thanks for reading!
