Sunday, July 13, 2008 - The Slingshot
I am back yet again, peoples!
Yesterday was finally the day - I went to the Stampede grounds and, failing to locate my friend, decided to go on the Slingshot. Its hard to describe how intense that ride is... honestly. In less than 2 seconds, you're 230 feet in the air, about to freefall back down. You get one hell of a view of the grounds, though, and when the ball is spinning in circles... its really quite good :D
However, they made a boo-boo and couldn't find the video for me after I paid for the DVD. So, they told me I could get a second free ride! Woot! I took it, and they almost had to give me a third free ride! However, I got to go back to the truck where they kept all the equipment, meet the owner of Thrill Masters, and chat with him while he tried to find the video. He ended up finding my original one, and got it all burned off. All in all, it was an exciting night.
Now I'm countin down the days to the 25th, when I will get to see Amy again!
