| I love the scouts! I was a girl scout, and my mother, many years ago, helped run a Brownies troop, and Campire Girls before that. Scouting teaches children values that are often overlooked in modern society - values which are really very, very important. These strong values, combined with production and giving back to society, give children a real sense of self esteem. Boy Scouts of America has a lot of information on their website. But scouts don't exist only in America - for instance, the Scouts of India have done a lot of good for their own country. Famous scouts include: L. Ron Hubbard, founder of Scientology J.K.
