On Body Parts Evolution

Are you tired of your body parts?  Get an overhaul.

There are  Cincinnati cosmetic surgeons available for a FREE CONSULTATION at prices up to 60% off! Please CLICK HERE for your free consultation and pricing.  This is an announcement I found from a Cincinnati plastic surgery website.

I've been noticing a rapid change and evolution in beauty preferences and products.   Those who has what it takes to get a major body revamp are willing to risk it all... money, time and body.  Just to get the look they want.  But why not?  It's for their own "esteem and internal glory" ^_^.  I bet there are excellent surgeons out there who can give their clients exactly what.

Fashionably Deviant

Working in Del Monte Philippines Human resources Dept., I was immersed in the process of hiring and deployment process and systems.   The applicants, after passing a series of exams and interview are asked to stand in queue and strip their tops off.  Of course, to avoid utter embarrassment, applicants are segregated according to gender.  This is to check if any of them have any tattoos.  Believe it or not, those with tattoos are automatically booted out of the application queue.  No matter how fashionable your tattoo is, colored or mono-chromed,  big or small, tribal or religious tattoos... are just not appealing to the hiring officer (who is a stunningly beautiful lady).  I've learned that big companies, especially those involved in food processing do not hire people with tattoos.  I don't think they're concerned about the implication of the fashionably deviant applicants... maybe they think tattoos are dirty.  Is it really??

My Hair Loss Story

It was August of 1997 when my younger brother noticed a balding spot on my head.  It was like a size of a 1-peso coin.  I was surprised and was wondering what could that be.  I was only able to have it checked when I had some extra tuition fee money..  Then I learned it was Alopecia Areata.

According to Wiki, Alopecia areata is a form of hair loss from areas of the body, usually from the scalp. Because it causes bald spots on the head, especially in the first stages, it is sometimes called spot baldness. In 1–2% of cases, the condition can spread to the entire scalp (Alopecia totalis) or to the entire epidermis (Alopecia universalis).  Alopecia areata is thought to be an autoimmune disease in which the body mistakenly treats its hair follicles as foreign tissue and suppresses or stops hair growth. It is not contagious but may be hereditary—there are a few recorded cases of babies being born with congenital alopecia areata.

The doctor told me it was somewhat unusual for my age and lifestyle to have such hair disease.   He asked if I was married.  I was not not.  Do I have a boyfriend or a chaotic lovelife.  I said none.   Do I have relatives with history on Alopecia.  Not that I know of.  For whatever that caused it, the main reason was stress and my lack of Vitamin B.

Good thing, I was able to buy some supplements and some medications to put the hair back.  Else, I would have to get a  hair transplant in Manhattan.  Worst case scenario.  But I don't think I could afford it either.  The spots are recurring.  I can only prevent it and not really cure... sad to say.  On times when I notice a new spot coming out, bawi ko with enough sleep and good food... so yun.. ^_^

Stuffy Nose

I know it's an eeeewie title.  Sorry guys ^_^  But I just can't breathe well.  Dunno if it's because of the weather abruptly changing during the day.  One hour cold and the next hour humid... or is this about the curve of my nose?  I'm a typical asian.. oriental look, petite and.... as my dad would say, a small nose.  Not a flat one silly.  Just small.  Oddly, I was looking for a rhinoplasty photo and found this interesting:  I'm not alone the quest for a perfect nose. hahaha.. amusing ^_^  Says there that patients seeking nose jobs  often request correction of their nasal bump. They typically desire a conservative change, creating a nose that is harmonious with the rest of their facial features.

Awts.. men are never contented of what they have.   Ja! I'd better snap out and be content of what I have.

A Japanese (Nihonggo) word there.  As I mentioned before I've been learning Japanese.  According to Wiki, the Japanese language is written with a combination of three different types of scripts: Chinese characters, kanji, and two syllabic scripts, hiragana and katakana. The Latin alphabet, rōmaji, is also often used in modern Japanese, especially for company names and logos, advertising, and when inputting Japanese into a computer. Western style Arabic numerals are generally used for numbers, but traditional Sino-Japanese numerals are also commonplace.

Japanese vocabulary has been heavily influenced by loans from other languages. A vast number of words were borrowed from Chinese, or created from Chinese models, over a period of at least 1,500 years. Since the late 19th century, Japanese has borrowed a considerable number of words from Indo-European languages, primarily English. Because of the special trade relationship between Japan and Holland in the 17th century, Dutch has also been influential, with words like bīru (from bier; "beer") and kōhī (from koffie; "coffee").

At class, we learned the Aisatsu (greetings), numbers, basic Guo-on sound and the useful words used in the classroom.  The title you see there means "good job!" or "you did well".  I wonder how "Toronto nose job" is said in Japanese? ^_^  I'm really hoping to do good on this and perhaps carry a conversation in straight Nihonggo in the future.

Hello again, world!

It's been a while and am back to blogging again, tee hee ^_^  Work has been pretty hectic lately and I was trying to fit my tasks and responsibilities in my sked, juggling it all up like a jigsaw puzzle.  How are you guys?

Just to share, I have been interested with some new stuffs lately.  Guess what, I'm taking up Japanese classes now.  I'm thrilled and excited on every class.  I learning their language, culture, writing.. etc.

what's more?  I'm learning about Otoplasty in general.  You might be interested to check the Miami Otoplasty site, it has an FAQ page.  What led me to this was the accident I met some few years back.  It was during a summer camp that my head was slammed hard into a metal edge and almost cut my earlobes in two.  I can still feel the "ouch" whenever I remember that.  Well, to cut the story short, the doctor had to stitch my lobe skin just to put the cut back in place.  It was done in haste and my ears looked deformed.    Gaah! I'm an otoplasty candidate.  But I just can't afford one.  Would anyone gimme some moolah for that?

“Fallin love with Nurses for they care best, or an Engineer, an analytic lover. Dentist? Secures unforgetable kiss. But dare to fall for a Psychologist.. they drive hearts crazy..”

“People say I love you for the sake of saying it. Some just for pity and some because they promised. When you really think hard, the people who find it so hard to say are the one who really mean it.”

“It’s not what we have in our hands that is ours. It is what is left when we open our hands and let go.”

“One of the reasons why people get so sentimental is because memories are the only things that don’t change when everything else does…”

“Truth is..
… we hide because we want to be found…
… we walk away to see who follows…
… we cry to see who wipes away the tears…
… and we let our hearts be broken to see to who comes in and fixes them…”

Jersey Girl

Violet Sanford (Piper Perabo), an aspiring songwriter, leaves her home and her father Bill Sanford (John Goodman) to pursue her dream in New York City. While she tries, unsuccessfully, to get her demo tape to be noticed by the studios, she meets a group of bartenders in a local hot spot called Coyote Ugly. She is hired by the bar's owner Lil (Maria Bello) and must learn the ropes of singing, dancing, and performing wild acts before a rowdy crowd. Romantic interest Kevin O'Donnell (Adam Garcia) tries to help her in overcoming her shyness.

TRIVIA:
In summer 2005 an unrated special edition of the film (the original release was rated PG-13 and the director's cut rated R) was released on DVD. The extended cut adds approximately six minutes to the film's runtime, most of which consists of additional shots of the "coyotes" dancing on the bar and of Violet and Cammie (Izabella Miko) trying on different outfits while shopping. Arguably the most notable additions are the extension of the sex scene between Violet and Kevin (Piper Perabo used a body double for most of the scene), and the inclusion of an additional scene, which shows the "coyotes" winning a baseball game because Cammie distracts the pitcher by stripping. (The special features of the extended cut DVD are identical with those of the previous DVD release.)

Source: Wiki

It was a nice movie.  One of my personal favorites.  But i guess it's all because of the music and dance moves.   It had an excellent soundtrack.  Violet was beautiful too.  She didn't need any cosmetic surgery New Jersey (er, she's the Jersey Girl, as Lil called her).

The Masked Room mate

08:43, Friday, March 30, 2007 .. 0 comments .. Link

People wear masks for different occasions. Masks are worn to cover one’s real “being” in a crowded world. Others pretend to be brave to hide fear. Some laugh to conceal pain. Some boast possessions to cover their inner void. Some act as friend to earn trust. But these masks are taken off when the person is alone and has all the freedom to do things as he please. What the person does then would determine his character - he could be a human or a monster.

Derrek, a very good friend of mine, told me last week that his wallet, mobile phone and MacBook were all gone when he woke up that morning. A young man, pretending to be a roommate checked in the day before and looted all the goodies in the room even before the sun rose the following day. He was so upset. He treated the new guy well, welcomed him and toured him around the pad just to make the person feel comfortable with his “new” home. Although he wondered why the new guy didn’t take his stuff out of his bag and didn’t even bother to “customize” his corner of the room that night, Derrek left to give him time and space to “feel at home” and came back by bed time. The next morning, his money and gadgets were all gone. And so was the “new room mate”. And there’s no way he could get his stuffs back.  It’s all gone into thin air like *poof!

See how humans could transform into monsters when left alone? Sad but true.

Do you know what the most compelling source of romantic attraction between two people actually is?

This powerful force that we are often unaware of operates on a subconscious level and can best be described as an equal level of childhood wounding.

if we sense on a subconscious level that the person across from us is a kind of brother in arms whose pain in some fashion mirrors our own, the sense of an unspoken bond can be extremely compelling.

we want someone who shares our life’s goals

Physical attraction or chemistry is important

But it is our underlying subconscious motivation that has the most hidden power to steer our selection of a life partner.

:)  Got this result from Madam Maykis ^_^  This friend just loves to throw interesting quotes, trivia, facts and figures every now and then.   One time, she told me about the rhinoplasty Philadelphia way, saying a new form of art is created.  The art of nasal sculpting.

Today I learned...

Did you know that 92% of what we worry about never happens?  and that the 8% is usually manageable?  Worry is like a rocking chair.  It gives us something to do, but gets you nowhere... So stop worrying.  Worry only kills you!

But before it kills you though, it brings out ugly wrinkles and body creases.  These are sooooo not lovely.  You'd probably hope a Manhattan cosmetic surgery could not even cure it nor restore your original look! hahahaha!  I realize that inner beauty is manifested by outward appearance as well.

Plastic Evolution

Lately I have noticed how the word plastic evolved into different meanings. Oh well, the meaning of word in itself, is a give away. According to Wiki, it simply means “to shape”.. er actually the word there is Plastikos.
Now, it could mean hypocrite, unreal.

But attach the word to another and could mean something else. Plastic surgery for example is an “in” thing. It means (just recently) beauty and money combined. Yes, you need bucks to get one done. Lots. Some celebrities get breast augmentation in Florida, Washington DC rhinoplasty or a facelift in New York.

The Law of the Seed

05:18, Thursday, February 22, 2007 .. 0 comments .. Link

Most seeds never grow. For one apple tree to bear 500 apples, you need 10 seeds. In life, this principle might mean you'll need to attend 20 interviews to get one job, talk to 50 people to sell one home, meet 1000 acquaintances to have one special person.

si Eba?

If we really want to make things happen, we usually need to try more than once. That's the law of nature. Don't take it personally. Just understand and work with it.
