Minichamps M48 A2GA2 German Army 1990. 350-041002

Minichamps M48 A2GA2 German Army 1990. 350-041002
REF:350-041002  Scale 1:32

Minichamps have become synonymous with quality and expert craftsmanship, this M48 A2GA2 is an example of why this reputation is so deserved.
With unparalleled levels of detail this outstanding die-cast replica vividly brings to life this incredible vehicle. Featuring rolling tracks, working suspension  and movable gun and turret this model represents incredible value for money.

The M48 Patton was one of the U.S army's principal main battle tanks of the Cold War, with models in service from the early 1950s to the 1990s. The M48 was also Americas primary tanks during the Vietnam War. It was widely used by U.S. Cold War allies, especially other NATO countries including West Germany. The German variant the M48A2GA2 was an upgraded version with a 105mm L7 cannon and a different MG3 installation from the Leopard 1. It was still in service with the German Army until the early nineties.

The tank belongs to the Patton family of tanks, named after General George S. Patton, commander of the U.S. Third Army during World War II and one of the earliest American advocates for the use of tanks in battle. It was a further development of the M47 Patton tank.
The M48 Patton tank was designed to replace the previous M47 Patton’s and M4 Sherman’s. Although largely resembling the M47, the M48 Patton was a completely new tank design despite a rough similarity from a distance. Some M48A5 models served well into the 80s. Internationally, many various M48 Patton models remain in service. Available from die-cast-collector.

Corgi Stuka - Defining Missions -Eastern Front Ju87G-1, Anti-Tank Section, Briansk, Russia, April 1943. PR99407

REF: PR99407  Scale: 1:72  Length 154mm  Wingspan 196mm  New Tooling  New Release

From Corgi’s aviation series Predators of the Skies Series 2 – Defining Missions is this 1:72 scale Limited Edition Junkers Ju87G-1 Stuka, Anti Tank Section, Briansk, Russia, April 1943. The first version of this famous plane, the Ju87A-1 saw action in 1937 with the Condor Legion in Spain. Joined in 1938 and 1939 by the later Ju87B, the Junkers dive-bomber attained greater notoriety than any other weapon which Germany launched in the Second World War. The Junkers Ju87 became synonymous with the abbreviation ‘Stuka’ from Sturzkampfflugzeug, a term descriptive of all dive-bombers. The Ju87G was the final version of the Stuka.

It abandoned the dive attack in favour of an armament of two 37 mm Rheinmetall-Borsig BK3,7 anti-tank cannons. Initially, the Ju87G was considered dangerous by its crews as the additional weight and drag of the wing guns adversely affected performance and handling. Produced in a Limited Edition of 3,760 pieces distributed worldwide, Corgi’s Predators Series 2 is guaranteed to be in high demand. This fantastic new series presents legendary predatory pilots and their aircraft, each model comes with a free Ace Pilots collector’s booklet. Collect 12 tokens from the 18 models in the Predators range to receive a free limited edition display wallet for all the pilot’s booklets. This quality die-cast model is a great addition to any collection. Available to buy from the die-cast-collector website.

REF: AA32814  Scale 1:72  Wingspan 230mm  Limited Edition

The prototype for the "Mosquito Photo-Reconnaissance Mark I (PR.I)", with the tail code "W4051", performed its first flight on 10 June 1941. The PR.I looked very much like a Mosquito bomber variant, as it retained the glass nose for camera targeting and the bomb-bay doors, but it included five camera ports. There was a port for an F24 oblique camera behind and below the wing, and twin ports for an F52 stereo camera pair behind the bomb bay doors. There was a port in the front of each bomb-bay doors, with the bomb bay accommodating either an F24 stereo camera pair or a single K17 camera. This model comes with free UK postage. REF: AA35401  Wingspan 120mm  New Tooling

The Jaguar is a collaborative venture between the British Aircraft Corporation and Dassault/Breguet who formed the international company, SEPECAT to manufacture 400 Jaguars, 200 for the RAF and 200 for the French Air Force. It was also sold to the air forces of India, Ecuador, Nigeria and Oman.
The Royal Air Force received 165 Jaguar GR.1s and 35 Jaguar T.2 two-seat advanced operational trainers. The first French-built Jaguar flew in September 1968 and the first British Jaguar in October 1969. The first Jaguars were delivered to No.226 Operational Conversion Unit at Lossiemouth in September 1973 and the first operational squadron was No.54, which became fully operational at RAF Coltishall on 9th August 1974, closely followed by No.6 Squadron on 6th November 1974.
Jaguars replaced Phantoms with several RAF squadrons, including in Germany and have enjoyed much success. No.6 Squadron is one of the RAF’s oldest squadrons, being formed by the Royal Flying Corps on 31 January 1914. It adopted the unofficial ‘Flying Can-Opener’ badge during WW2 whilst operating Hurricanes, destroying 32 tanks in three hours on 22 March 1943.
It retains this name and motif to this day, throughout many equipment changes, finally from Phantoms to its present mount of Jaguars on 1st October 1974.It is based at RAF Coltishall, Norfolk, and remained there until 2006 when the Jaguar was retired from RAF service. Corgi M48 A3 Tank U.S.M.C. B Company (Unsung Heroes series)

Without doubt the most perfect model of the M48 tank ever produced. With masses of detail and made to the highest quality this is not just an ordinary model, this is a perfectly reproduced die-cast replica.

"In 1968, the powerful and dependable M48A3 tank played a major role in ""Operation Pegasus,"" relieving the Marine Corps garrison at Khe Sanh in South Vietnam. This tank was particularly effective as a forced entry tool in heavy assaults on enemy positions. You can own a remarkably intricate, authentic, hand-painted and battle-scarred replica of the tank used by C Company, 3rd Tank Battalion, 3rd Marine Division. It even includes the bat symbol painted on the searchlight, reddish mud on the treads, a canvas cover around the gun tube, 40mm ammo cans around the gypsy rack in back, the double-stacked jerry cans hanging from the turret sides and spare track over the turret that caused enemy rockets to explode prematurely."
Also includes a fascinating information pack. This  stunning model is available from the die-cast-collector website.

Corgi 1:72 Spitfire VB EN783 334th Fighter Sqn/4th Fighter Group, Debden, Essex, 1942

REF:US31923. 1.72 Scale

A most unusual and highly detailed Spitfire model in the colours of USAAF 31st FG. This model is a Corgi American release and although a very recent addition it is already becoming a collectors classic.
Originally delivered new to the RAF’s No 610 Squadron in late May, 1942, this aircraft was passed on to the USAAF’s newly-formed 31st FG in mid July.
In early September, it was transferred to No 71 "Eagle" Squadron, which duly became the 334th FS as part of the newly-formed 4th FG at month-end. Deemed surplus to requirements by the Eighth Air Force in March, 1943, following the arrival of P-47Cs in-theatre, the fighter returned to RAF service with Nos 66 and 340 Sqns. Damaged in combat on December 7, 1943, the fighter was relegated to training duties following its repair and was finally written off in a forced-landing following engine failure on May 2, 1945, while serving with No 57 Operational Training Unit. This model is available to buy from the die-cast-collector website.

Dragon Armor Sd.Kfz.186 Jagdtiger (Porsche Version) s.P.z.J.g.A.bt 653 Germany 1945. 60112

Dragon Armor Sd.Kfz.186 Jagdtiger (Porsche Version) s.P.z.J.g.A.bt 653 Germany 1945. 60112

REF:60112  Scale 1.72  Length  96mm

Dragon Armor’s 1:72 scale Sd.Kfz.186 Jagdtiger (Porsche Version) model is depicted in the authentic markings of schwere Panzer Jaeger Abteilung as used in Germany during 1945. Dragon Armor carefully researches models to ensure that every detail is historically accurate – from the tooling to the realistic weathered camouflage scheme to the markings. This pre-assembled die-cast model is painted in an overall dark yellow scheme. Dragon Armor’s Zimmerit paste applied to the lower hull and superstructure enables a far greater level detailing to be achieved.

Designed as a tank buster, the Sd.Kfz.186 Jagdtiger (German for 'Hunting Tiger') was based on the chassis of the Tiger II (King Tiger) tank. The Jagdtiger was the heaviest armoured fighting vehicle to reach production in World War II and suffered from the same problems as the King Tiger - an underpowered engine, frequent breakdowns and poor manoeuvrability – the Jagdtiger had a very narrow field of fire as the main gun had a traverse of only 10 degrees so the entire vehicle had to turn to aim anywhere else. 150 Jagdtigers were ordered, but only 88 were ever produced and of these, only eleven were produced with Porsche suspension (8 road wheels).

The Dragon Armor 1:72 scale series is a great scale to collect, with some plastic parts, the attention to detail is superb offering exceptional quality at a great price. Models are packaged in an acrylic display case. Length is measured for the body only and excludes the gun barrel. To view this item in more detail, or view our huge Military vehicle section please visit the die-cast-collector website.

Forces Of Valor German Sd. Kfz. 251 Ausf. D mit Wurfrahmen 40 Mobile Rocket Launcher

REF:85010  Scale 1.72  Length 70mm

A superb release from Forces of Valor, features a wealth of detail normally seen on more expensive models. This fine example of a Sd. Kfz. 251 Ausf. D mit Wurfrahmen 40 includes a driver and six rockets.

The Sonderkraftfahrzeug 251 (SdKfz 251) half-track was an armored fighting vehicle built by Germany during World War II. They were produced throughout the war.
The early production models of this vehicle were issued to the 1st Panzer Division in 1939. There were four main models (A - D), with many variants. The initial idea was for a vehicle that could be used to transport a squad of infantry to the battlefield protected from enemy small arms fire, and with some protection from artillery fire.
Variants were produced for specialized purposes, including anti-aircraft guns, rocket launching (with 3 large rockets fitted on either side of the vehicle) as well as a version with an infra-red search light used to spot potential targets for associated Panther tanks equipped with infrared detectors.
We have a comprehensive selection of Military models from the best  leading manufactures, all available to view on the die-cast-collector military section.
