Theories for Theology Majors

*NOTE: These theories are free for usage, but do not forget to cite source. Thank you.

1. If one believes in balance and in the devil, how can one not believe in God? Devil : source of evil, God : source of good. (Belief in God)

2. God cannot be purely good.
a. Deut. 5:9 : ...for I the Lord your God am a jealous God. = Jealousy is one of the seven deadly sins.
b. If all things came from God, then evil came from God. = Lucifer, the fallen angel, was God's subordinate. Where did Lucifer learn how to sin from if God was alone in the creation? Furthermore, angel's were made in God's image.
c. We suffer because of the devil, yet God makes no move Himself to abolish the devil. If He loved us, He would have done something.

I reserve the right to add to this later on.

The Youth

Posted in

Sometimes, a heart encaged in iron walls that's trying to defend itself may abandon its shelter, seeking to heal the wounds of those it cares about. Most times, a young heart will be doubted. They don't think it'll understand.

Youth does not determine one's capability to understand. The youth, like all other people, definitely see in different ways that are strange to everyone else, but this does not mean that they won't understand. Besides, if you put it in simpler terms, they'd understand.

The world is in its current state because of the failure to listen and understand the youth. It has always been said that the youth are the sources of hope, yet no one listens. It is a pain to see the ideas of a child go unnoticed just because the elder ones don't think they'll understand.

I resolve to change this, and you're free to join me. I'll be creating a group soon  enough for this cause.

Merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Battle

Posted in
Battle
Tears and blood mix
As they stream down my face.
Will I ever find comfort
In this world of darkness and fear?

My sword clatters to the ground
As my fingers release their grip.
The rain falls and washes away
The traces of the battle I fought.

Around me are bodies,
Bodies of my comrades and enemies,
Some dead, some dying,
And I’m the only one standing.

Though numerous wounds
Are all over my body,
I still find the strength to stand
Because of you.

I don’t like fighting,
But I had to protect you,
Along with all the others I love,
But I couldn’t save them all.

Maybe next time,
I can save them,
And it won’t have to end this way.
Maybe nobody will have to die.

I pick up my sword
With trembling fingers
And summon my strength
To fight the next wave of enemies.

My strikes are wayward
While my aim is wrong.
The sweat mingles with my wounds,
And it fills me with pain.

But I can’t die now,
Not when I’m carrying the weight of so many people
On my back.
I’ll fight once more.

I thrust my sword into
My enemy’s heart
Even as another sword
Slashes itself against my back.

There’s no more time to react,
So I drop to my knees and fall to the ground.
My enemies have won,
But I will fight again, next time.

I’ll find a way to avenge
Myself and everyone else they killed,
But for now, my body sinks into an eternal sleep
As my soul goes from its dwelling.

Believing in Our Beliefs

Posted in

I proved to myself that wings do exist, but others can't see them. Why is it so hard to convince others just to believe in things? Maybe it's because there isn't a logical reason behind things, but do things have to be explainable to be real?

Can you prove that God exists? Can you prove that the devil exists? Can you prove that there are really aliens out there? Without data to back you up, it will be hard to prove that these exist, and up to now, some of the questions up there can't be answered by the earth's greatest minds. That doesn't stop people from believing though.

I believe that if we just put our faith in something, no matter what it is, whether it exists or not, we won't always have to answer the question why. Our beliefs, traditions, culture, these are what make us who we are. Those are things that nobody can take away from you. We must treasure them always.

We can say that God exists. We have the power to say that God is real. The only problem is proving it.

We must keep in mind that different people have different perspectives of their own. Some people may even have different worlds. Unicorns, for instance, are known all over the world as mythological creatures, but in the perspective of someone else, unicorns may exist, even if they can't prove it.

What we believe in keeps us from doing things that we could have treasures or regretted. Basically, our beliefs control our future. Try not to ruin other people's futures by changing their beliefs, because a change in faith is also a change in destiny.

Thank You for My Wings

Posted in

Thank You for My Wings

You gave me back my wings.

Now, I’m flying again.

I’ll never lose sight of my freedom while I live on.

The world in my dreams

Seems to be perfect,

Everything from the sea and sun

To the moonlight shining softly.

I’ll take you along,

So you’ll see

How happy I am

Because of you.

Thank you

For helping me get my wings,

And for that I always will

Love you.

Dream in the Night

Posted in

Dream in the Night

It all began with

One little dream

That grew bigger like all the others.

I want you to see

The sun shining up high,

See the light.

I want you to feel

The warmth of the wind

Blowing on your face.

I want you to taste

The flavor of my lips

Even if you’re asleep.

So dream of us together,

Even in the stormy night,

And we’ll never be apart.

I want to touch you again

And wrap you

In my arms.

In our dreams,

We feel each other’s presence

And the beating of our hearts.

In the starry sky,

I see you face,

And I kiss it “goodnight.”

When we wake up,

Our hearts will find each other in an instant,

And we’ll never be apart.

Life And Its Rules

Posted in

When you love someone so much, somtimes, it gets a hold of you, so that it's all that fills your mind, all that fills your dreams, and for most, they call it obsession. Some might say that it can be a bad thing, especially if they're pretty suer that your love fantasy has a bigger chance of it not coming true than coming true.

But don't let this get you down. They can thinl what they think, for all I care, because they won't be able to do a thing about it unless you let them. You're all you can ever be, and people should learn to respect that. It is the most common cause of war now adays.

Everyone tries to change people and the situations they are faced with to their own ease or comfort, but this is wrong. Instead of changing others, why don't we try changing ourselves. If we always try to change others, we will always end up stressign ourselves when we find that we can't, but the most primary cause of this is complaint. If we complain against something, we often try to change it, and most often than not, we forget to change ourselves to suit the situation. We cannot get all that we want all at once.

I'm not saying, however, that changing things is bad. It really depends on the situation. If you change things for other's good, then there's not a problem with that, but there's nothing wrong with a good change for others and for you.

Deep Inside

Posted in

It isn't wise to keep bottling things up inside of you. I've done it before, and I got the feelings of insecurity and of being alone. I thought that my heart was heavier than the whole galaxy, and those feelings, are not really easy to bear. Feelings like those will block your concentration and are depressing to some people, so don't risk keeping them in you for long.

If you have so many things that you want to spill, to share or to just get off your chest but don't know who to tell or how to do it, then I suggest that you try the following:
1. Keep a diary or a journal. Online blogs are good too, but then, you can't be too sure if it's safe from everyone.
2. Try the arts. Singing, writing, drawing, dancing, cooking, anything that requires you to use your feelings.
3. Talk to someone. Your friends and family are willing to help you. You can leave me a comment here, and I'll talk to you, if you like.

No matter how many times you call my name, I'll always be whispering your name in my heart.

Night Sky

Posted in
Turn off the lights,
So in darkness you can see
The wonders of the night
Scattered before thee.

Nestled in the heavens above
Are the stars of the night,
Scattered like jewels
Amongst the twilight sky.

A silver piece of beauty
Is suspended amongst
The beads of glass
That are sprinkled among the clouds.

It disappears now and then
But appears once more,
A symbol that in life,
There’s something worth dying for.

Trying looking past all that,
The stars and the moon.
Gaze beyond the most obvious to you.
Peer behind the closed door.

You’ll see the empty space,
Vast and dark,
But not so,
Because of its beauty within.

Then it seems the stars rearrange.
They show you a vision.
Isn’t it the one you dream of?
Isn’t it the one you love?

The stars spread across her forehead
Like a diamond crown.
She looks peaceful,
Beautiful.

The vision fades away
As you drift to sleep.
You gaze into the sky once more
As your heart skips a beat.

You see the vastnbess of the night sky.
You see how the stars are scattered like glitter,
How the crescent moon is enveloped in the clouds,
How the clouds embrace the moon.

Your mind paints a picture of
The stunning display.
It’s what you see in your head
As to sleep you give way.

The words “good night” are etched into the darkness.
You close your eyes.
You will never forget
The sight of the night sky.

Sometimes, all you need to do to open your eyes is to close them.

In solitude, the best and worst of every passing moment is yours alone to know of.

I don't care about the cost of wings because when I get them, even the sky won't be able to limit me.

How can it be wrong to be ruled by emotion if God rules with love?

If ignoring pain is not letting it bother you and concealing it is not letting it bother others, which would you choose?

If we are all the same in the eyes of God, why can't we be to each other?

You are more than a fleeting shadow.

A real friend would give more than one second chance.

Independence doesn't mean separation. Rather, it is what helps you stand alone.

If you listen closely at night, you'll hear my voice whispering your name.

Dreams were made to be forgotten, but how come you're stuck in my mind.

Love is a four-letter word; how complicated can it possibly get?

Please Be Here

Posted in

Hold my hand;
I'm so cold and lonely.
You're my love,
My one and my only.

In the dark,
I'm searching for you.
Please be here.

In the night,
The silence is scary.
I'm alone.
There's emptiness beside me.

The tears are
Flowing from my eyes.
Please be here.

In my heart,
A fire is burning.
It hurts me, so
I keep on crying.

It's you I need,
But you're so far.
Please be here.

Rebellious Thoughts

Posted in

Don't get me wrong now. Although I can rebel, and I know that you do sometimes, I'm not one that takes it to the extreme. I'm not going to write about the things I don't like. I'm going to write about what I think about inner and outer rebels.

Outer rebels, in my opinion and definition, are those who aren't afraid to tell people what they don't like about the situation and what they think can be done to improve it. More often than not, the outer rebels are the ones who start rallies and strikes. They're also the ones who can cause damage. If you think this is bad, well, I agree, but at least the people in authority will know how to handle the situation.

Since the outer rebels will be speaking their minds, they and the authorities will soon be able to arrive at a compromise while the inner rebels will still go on rebelling, unless they have the same problem.

Inner rebels won't talk about what's going on in their heads, and if people don't know what the problem is, they obviously won't know how to deal with it. They will go on with a try-fail process, and there is also a possibility that this will annoy the inner rebel more.

Now all this talk about rebels makes me want to post some guidelines on how to avoid having rebels. Here are a few tips for those who are the heads of companies and other industries:
1. When with your colleagues or employees, give off a warm and friendly attitude. This will give the impression of openness and will encourage them to open up to you when they need to talk.
2. A Comment and Suggestion Box hanging around the corner is a great way to also open them up.
3. Keep a close eye on your employees' performance and attitude towards work. A noticable change will tip you off if there is something wrong.
4. Most importantly, review your terms and conditions. Make sure that they seem fair to both you and your employees and don't cause any inconvenience or discomfort.

Life, you say?

Posted in

Life is pointless. They say that we all have a part to play here, and it doesn't matter whether we think it small or big. They say that we should treasure life because we only live once.

I don't deny that we are all meant for a purpose, and if we don't fulfill that purpose in this lifetime, no one else will do it for us. I have put the idea into my head that because of this purpose and the consequences of not fulfilling it, we should always live life out to its fullest, so that when death comes, we can say that we tried our best to serve our purpose.

Many people are remembered because they fulfilled a great purpose and gave great service to mankind, but what good is this? What about those that fulfilled their purpose but were never remembered because others thought that it was a small and insignificant thing?

~

Life is pointless. Many live and then die. It is an everlasting cycle because there will always be death when there is life. Why do they do this? Give life and then take it back. Why should we contribute to world that will die in time? Why should we make it a better place to live when we know that it will come to an end? Why are there doctors and healers and teachers if so many things will be left undiscovered just because someone died right before unravelling the secret?

If we made this world a better place, it wouldn't really matter that much. People will enjoy it, but will they know who to thank?

Even if there was reincarnation, no one would know who to thank, who to look up to, what to do because we will never remember. We live to serve one purpose and die after fulfilling it.

But this is the greatest question of them all. Why would they create life if it would only bring more pain to others when death takes its toll? Why does light exist when it cannot even reach the darkest of places?

You should know that everything here has its own opposite, its own consequence, its own purpose. Life is pointless, but it isn't worthless. So just before you take life seriously or light-headedly, remeber that.
