Instant publishing
When you entries, they are published immediately. Some blog hosting services force users to wait for the blogs to be published, which can take up to several minutes for large blogs. With ClearBlogs.com, you see entries right away.

Over 30 default templates
When you signup, you can pick a visual template to use on your blog. We have many professionally designed templates available for use, check out our template showcase. The templates are composed of simple HTML and CSS, along with special variables used by ClearBlogs.com to determine where the content is displayed, etc. These can be easily modified to suit your needs.

WYSIWYG entry composer
Since many blog authors are not familiar with HTML, we have offer a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor on the add/edit entry pages. This makes adding different fonts, colors, styles, and images easy when you write entries.

Subdirectory URLs (http://clearblogs.com/<yourblog>)
The subdirectory URLs feature provides you with blog URLs in the form of: http://clearblogs.com/<yourblog>. Many users prefer this type of URL for aesthetic reasons.

IP-Banning and Spam Protection
All users must enter a six digit code displayed on the page before commenting and creating account, this helps fight SPAM. You can even ban users based on IP addresses.

Commenting
Users can post comments for each other's blog entries. Comments may only be posted if the author has chosen to allow them on his or her entries. Comments include a link to the commenter's profile, and can also include the commenter's avatar (if included in the template). Visitors don't have to create blog account to post comments. They can do this anonymously.

"Friends only" entries
If the friends feature is turned on, blog authors can post "friends only" entries. These entries are only visible by users who have been added to the authors' friend lists.

RSS feeds
Many blog authors publish their writing with RSS (Really Simple Syndication). This consists of a single file which can be loaded by various news reader software. Users will be able to link to RSS file from their blog. This lets their readers receive notifications of your users' new entries.

Pinging
Users are able to ping Weblogs.com, Blo.gs, Technorati, and Ping-O-Matic! This means more traffic to your free blog.

Avatars
Users can upload small icons to personalize user profiles and blogs. Avatars are also displayed within the users' message inbox and the user search results. You also have a profile with your avatar on it.

Preview comments/entries
When writing comments and entries, users can click a preview button which shows them how comment or entry will look when it is posted to your free blog.

Customizable templates
Bloggers can edit the actual template code for their weblog, allowing them to personalize their templates or create their own personal look and feel to their free blog.

Permanent links
Every blog entry is given its own unique permanent link, which is helpful for search engine indexing and will encourage readers to link to your users' entries.

Customizable entry date/time
Your users have the option of customizing the date and time of entries. Set the date an time to your needs.

Draft entries
Your users can write draft entries, which are not published to their blogs but are saved within their accounts for later use.

Support suite
A three-part support suite is available including a template guide, FAQ section, and support forms. The template guide gives your users instructions for modifying their templates as well as a list of template variables and their uses. The FAQ section includes answers for frequently asked questions. The support forms help resolve specific issues.

Interests keywords
Users can add a list of their interests to their profiles. These interests are linked on their profiles - clicking an interest displays a list of all other users that share the same interest.

File uploads
Users will be able to access their Photos & Files page. They will be able to create folders and upload images or other files.
