first start back

Hey everybody,

I made my first rehab start in Japan and things went pretty well for not pitching in a month and a half, i was able to pitch 5 innings, one more inning than i thought i would go, and i gave up 2 runs.  It was great to get that one out of the way and now maybe i can get back to pitching on a normal rotation again.  I threw 85 pitches in that game also so who knows hopefully i won't have to make another rehab start and i can get back to winning games again.  The elbow is feeling better now and the pain is pretty much gone, not all the way gone, but feeling good enough to start pitching in regular games again.  I will keep you updated on whether i make another rehab start or not.  I was getting ready to get on the train today to head back to my apartment from the stadium and one of the girls i know who speaks english here told me to wait and get on  a different train because someone jumped in front of the train a little ways up the track and committed suicide, i don't get it.  Things could never get bad enough for me to ever consider doing something like that but apparently it happens here a lot.  I was told that more people commit suicide in Japan than any other country each year. How crazy is that???  And i was also told that jumping in front of a train is one of the most common ways.  That's sad that it ever comes to that and i hope i never have to witness something like that in my lifetime.   Also today i felt my first earthquake, mind you it was a very minor one, but it was still my first one in my life so it was cool for me.  It was just a small rumble and shake this morning before i left for the field but i am waiting for a big one, i think that would be kinda cool to feel as long as no one gets hurt, of course.  LOL!!!

Until next time
