first win
Sorry i havent been writing on this blog for a while, i was on a road trip for a while and of course they dont have internet at the hotels here. What was i thinking, internet service at a hotel, what a preposterous idea!!! And then my parents came in town so i have a chance to show them around town a little bit and introduce them to the Japanese way of life because this is their first time here. Last night i pitched and finally got my first win here in Japan, I was able to pitch 7 innings and i gave up 2 runs to the Chiba Lotte Marines who are managed by Bobby Valentine. I came out of the game after the 7th losing 2-1 but Nakajima helped me out a lot by hitting a grand slam in the bottom of the 7th inning so i finally recorded my first win here. It was one of those days when i didnt have my good stuff at all, i felt like i just couldnt throw any of my pitches for strikes and it was miserably hot and humid too, but when you have days like that, you really find out what you are made of. I told myself that this is my game whether i dont have my good stuff or not i am going to pitch well and give us a chance to win and things worked out in the end. I really think the fans here in Japan are soooo much better than the fans in Major League Baseball, the fans here really get into the game and are dancing and singing and bands are playing, it really makes a great atmosphere to pitch and play in and i think that is really cool. Tomorrow i think i might have to introduce my parents to Roppongi and walk around a little bit, i think they will think it is pretty cool. I might take them to Kyoto also, i heard from some of the guys and some friends i met in Roppongi that Kyoto is beautiful and it would be a great place to visit and show my parents so i will have to let everyone know how that goes.

Psssst, just a heads up - you might want to check out what people are saying about you on Japaneseball.com forums while you've been in Japan. Maybe you're already aware of it and don't care, but as an avid baseball fan I've checked out most forums and blogs and yours is getting really bad press right now. I really wish I could help you and edit what you say, but please take my advice and STOP talking about how great Roppongi is. This proves you are really low brow and kinda seek after dark and empty pleasures of the world. Please show us that you, Mr. Johnson has some sort of substance to you.
Of Substance.....

Hey sexy boy!!
I hadn't checked out your blog in a while and just finished catching up on your Japan adventures!! I'm so happy to hear you are starting to enjoy yourself over there. You deserve it!! I read the comment "heads up" and just wanted to let you know that you do NOT come across as having no substance or of having a pleasure for the dark and empty things of the world. You are one of the most down to earth people I've ever met and have a truly genuine countenance about you. Don't pay any attention to people who are jealous and not in your corner!! Keep up the good work hot stuff and have a GREAT time!! You really do deserve it!!
You are missed!! :)

My buddies and I got a real laugh outta the message your planet friend sent you. Sounds like she really took offence to the person that was giving you some friendly advice. We're thinking your planet friend is a wacked out chick that doesn't undersatnd the correct use of the term 'countenance', either as a verb or a noun. Anyway, we keep on top of JJ forums, and yes you've had some nasty comments spewed about you, but really dude who cares and just try to keep up the good job you're doing and make sure you have fun with your parents. Also, careful of those wacky chicks man, they're nothing but t-r-o-u-b-l-e. Take it from two gaijins here in Tokyo.
Keep up the Good Work
