What ESPN can do to make itself better
There are several things that I think ESPN can do to make itself better here is a list of things that would make it better
. Do another SportsCenter show at four o'clock on ESPN2 and make Mike and Mike the cohosts
. These would be my SportsCenter anchor teams
five p.m. Central: Brian Kinney and Jay Harris
10 p.m. Neill Everett and Scott Van Pelt
midnight Rece Davis and Linda Cohn
weekends
Saturday
9 a.m. Chris McKendry and Stan Verrett
10 a.m. Josh Elliott and Robert Flores
5 p.m. Steve Berthiaume and Trey Wingo
10 p.m. Stuart Scott and Kenny Mayne
midnight: Stuart Scott and Kenny Mayne
Sunday
8 a.m. Josh Elliott and and Chris McKendry
9: 30 p.m. Josh Elliott and Bob Ley
5 p.m. Steve Berthiaume and Trey Wingo
10 p.m. Stuart Scott and Chris Berman
. Get rid of the World Series of poker and rock paper scissors
. Make NFL Live an hour long show and move it to the 1 p.m. timeslot
. Put Stephen A. Smith opposite Skip Bayless on first and ten
with these things ESPN would make itself even better.

Kige,
I personally have trouble seeing what Mike and Mike bring to ESPN. Their antics are very silly and not very sports focused. In my opinion, they are about as sports oriented as Rock,Paper Scissors (which you justly call out to be removed from the network). Can you help us all understand what you find good about their show, perhaps on your Youtube series" Ask Kige.
Thank you.

Saying these things would make ESPN "even better" implies that it's any good now.

I personally don't care for a lot of what ESPN does. Stuart Scott does nothing for me, as does Mike and Mike. Here are my ideas what they could do to make them selves better;
Sportscenter becomes Sportscenter again. No filler pieces such as "Who's Now?" or mock press conferences, or panelists debating the top team of all time, or simulated playoffs in the off season. Sports highlights, top plays, commentary on key games. That's it.
I agree with your take on poker and the many derivitives they have aired recently like cup stacking. Seriously! Lose the spelling bee and dog shows too and show us more sports. Remember when they played Australian rules football games? Why not air some more of that, or even some European soccer leagues or tournaments in the down time of the afternoons?
No more original programming. Stop making dramatized tv shows. The Bronx is Burning is taking up valuable air time to be showing key baseball action centering around the division and playoff races!
