This month’s Weekend Cookbook Challenge is all about Halloween!  So, what’s Halloween-ish?  Pumpkin, of course.  But to do pumpkin would be, to quote Nathan Detroit, like playing a favorite.  So what else is Halloween?  Candy, sure – but, what else? 

 

Scary!!

 

Halloween is scary-time!  And what’s the scariest food in my house right now?  Well, as I said, I went to Karl’s Sausage Kitchen this weekend and at a good friend’s suggestion and profession of love, I bought a half of a pound of zungenwurst.  Zungenwurst it tongue pieces with pork fat in blood. 

 

I know.  But, I’m willing to try anything.  Here it is...

 

 

 

I didn’t like it.  I didn’t hate it, but it left a odd, disgusting aftertaste in my mouth.  My friend gets the rest tomorrow.  I will also try to post something else for this months WCC.

 

But, come on, it IS scary.
