I have always considered myself lucky to have put up this barber shop in the civic center. The only problem is how I can attract new customers to come in and give my shop a try. My regular customers maintain the business but I need to get new customers to increase my income. I have been experimenting with a lot of gimmicks like discounts, extra services and other come-ons but all these failed to increase my income. I later found out that I need to let potential customers know about my barber shop before they can avail of my services.
Then I found out about marketing through postcard printing. It was new to me but I learned from my regulars that it is quite effective. Postcard advertising is like sending a postcard to someone but with a twist. Rather than having scenic pictures, you have your services advertised on it. I guess it is a way of delivering your services right into your prospective customers’ doorsteps.
I scanned the internet for someone who could help me with this and I got in touch with Print Place. I told them about my problem and instantly offered to help. They packaged the whole thing for me including the design, the printing, the mailing -- everything! What came out were outstanding eye-catching postcards that sing about my services and the discount they will enjoy if they bring the postcard with them to my barber shop.
After six months of using postcards as advertising materials, I had to hire two additional barbers on weekends. Need I say more?
