Weight Loss After Pregnancy - What Every Mother Should Know!

Giving birth to a child is one of the most wonderful moments in a woman's life. One look at the newborn and the mother knows that the pain and hardships of the pregnancy were not in vain. It also means that life must return to normal with new responsibilities of bringing up the child.

Soon after the child birth, the mother starts thinking about how to lose weight gained during pregnancy. Many young mothers resort to quick fix diets, diet pills or cardio programs to lose weight.

However the weight loss will be gradual. After all you didn't gain the weight in a day! So don't expect to lose the excess weight in few days.

Plus it is now a medically accepted fact that the body and metabolism of a woman who gives birth undergoes a number of changes that can sometimes make losing those extra pounds more difficult. And some mothers do not lose the last few pounds till the breastfeeding continues.

In order to lose weight after pregnancy both safely, and effectively, you should undertake a program of slow and steady dieting along with exercise that will produce long-term benefits.

You should concentrate on the health of your child and your own health and diet. After all now you have to think about how to regain your lost strength as well as provide good nutrition to your baby.

An ideal diet for a new mom would consist of:

* 2000 calories per day
* Small amount of fiber
* About 50 percent intake of Carbohydrates
* 30 percent intake of proteins
* 10 percent intake of fats

And you can start taking your favorite foods again that you may have stopped during pregnancy. But remember, do not indulge too much as you are looking to knock off the extra pounds gained during pregnancy. And before trying any quick fix diets or diet pills, make sure the diets and pills are absolutely safe because what you eat also becomes the food for the baby.

Combined with a healthy diet, exercise is one of the most effective methods for weight loss after pregnancy.No doubt you will be busy as a new mom, but exercise is still important especially at the early stage as it will help build up your stamina and return the muscle tone you lost during the pregnancy.

Exercise is also a good way to improve moods providing it is not overdone and will help to ensure you do not begin to see it as a chore. The idea is to reduce the overall body fat while improving muscle tone at the same time although this should be a gradual process.

It must be re-iterated that the loss should not be looked upon as something that must be done as quickly as possible as it should really come off about the same sort of pace it was put on.

With a good nutritional program and with moderate exercise, you can expect to lose the weight you gained during pregnancy within a reasonable time rame.

Every boarding kennel certainly has its own individual personality. Not every kennel is right for every dog owner. As a mastiff owner, you might have to spend more time searching for the perfect kennel than other dog owners do. This will ensure you like the kennel and are also sure your mastiff will like it too.

Mastiffs are guarding breeds and whether they are in their own home environment or in a kennel, they are going to keep guarding. Because of the different dogs he is around and the strangers working in the kennel, this situation might be stressful for him. Your dog would obviously prefer not to have to be boarded at a kennel and not feel like he has to guard brand new territory.

Make sure your dog has access to water at all times and access to an outdoor exercise area in the daytime.

You should ask about the feeding schedule your mastiff will be on. Ideally it should be as close to his home schedule as possible.

In addition to this, find out how much the staff knows about their boarders. Not only that, but feel them out about how much they know about dogs in general. While you don't expect them to be experts, the staff should have a love of dogs and some type of knowledge in this area.

If you can begin boarding your dog while he is young, even six months old or so, he will be better able to acclimatize to the environment of the kennel. If you're looking for a good guard dog, the English mastiff dog is right up there in the top of the list. Just the dog's appearance alone guarantees that anyone who comes across the mastiff will keep his or her distance.

The English Mastiff is a powerfully built canine with a body that can only be described as "massive." He enjoys the distinction as being "the heaviest dog in the world." In fact the mastiff probably gets his name from the Anglo-Saxon word for powerful - "masty."

The English Mastiff is descended from both the ancient breeds, the Alaunt as well as the Molosser and he is recognized as the oldest British breed of dog (and sometimes he acts as if he knows this!)

Perhaps not surprisingly, the dog was used as early as six B.C. in a variety of fighting situations. In fact, the mastiff became central to many blood sports such as bullbaiting, bearbaiting, lion baiting and dog fighting.

As a breed, the English mastiff combines dignity, grandeur and courage. To those who don't fully understand the breed, he may appear to be utterly paradoxical. This is because even though he is calm, loving and affectionate toward his family, he is also a fierce guardian who is fearless, tenacious and ferocious when necessary.

As stunning evidence of this, an English Mastiff instinctually positions himself between his owner and a stranger when an unknown person approaches the family's "territory."

Should the approaching stranger not give the dog his due, the Mastiff may take swift, immediate defensive action. And now you see why, he could be ranked up there with the top ten guard dogs of all time!

However, despite its apparent fierceness, the mastiff displays only gentleness with children.

The mastiff breed is among the most imposing of the canines. The average mastiff stands about 30 inches at the shoulder for males and about 27.5 inches for females. A male English mastiff can weigh between 160 and 230 pounds, with a female usually weighing in at an impressive 140 to 190 pounds or more.

As with most breeds of dogs, the English mastiff, too, can have some health problems specific to its breed. Among these are bloating and hip dysplasia, as well as obesity. Both weight gain and bloating can be managed if you feed your dog two or three small meals a day. And as adored as this dog can be, there are still many English mastiff rescues to be had.

Additionally, English mastiffs also have a propensity to bone cancer greater than other breeds of dogs do. They may also develop kidney stones.

A healthy English Mastiff lives to be between nine and 11 years old. He demands a good diet as well as plenty of exercise - as you can well imagine. But you may have to coax him to exercise. Just like his human owner, he's prone to enjoying "the good life." You may find that he's quite comfortable lounging in the living room rather than running the track outside or walking through the park with you.

You must brush or English mastiff daily, too. Dead hair, dust and other debris can hide in the mastiff's coat until you remove it. You may not be able to see this debris, but if left to accumulate, your dog may begin to smell.

Another advantage to daily brushing involves skin problems. The chances of developing any concerns dealing with the Mastiff's skin are far less if you make it a habit to brush him regularly.

Instead of using a regular brush on your dog, though, consider using something called a "dog glove." This device was developed specifically for shorthaired dogs such as the mastiff. Your dog will enjoy this experience is much as you do, and it will allow you to bond with him.

Hey, Happy Mother’s day to all the moms out there. I called my mother today and thanked her for bringing me into the world. They say when I was born; the lights went out in the entire hospital. LOL

Seriously, mothers should be celebrated every day. They are the mother of all humanity. Life would not exist without them giving birth. I took some time today and just reflected on life in general and the important roll a mother has to play when having a child. There is a special connection between a child and mother which is unexplainable.

So again, Thanx to all the mothers out there who continue to nurture the world by their example.

Today, while I was out collecting a few items to do breakfast for my wife from our kids, I caught myself waiting in line and a young child from an Arab decent caught my attention. The child had to be about 10-12 months old. So there was no real communication between us other than the smile, giggle, and the I see you back and forth game.

The thing that struck me was this. This child did not recognize color, culture, gender or anything else. He was just as happy with looking at me as I was with him. After going back and forth playing the I see you game, his mother smiled at me and we began talking. This is what hit me during our conversation. If it were not for the child, the two of us, the adults may never have exchanged conversation. But why is that?

It’s because we are constantly looking for the differences in each other. And then we use that to decide whether we should communicate or not. Oh, don’t look at my last sentence with innocence; you know exactly what I mean. LOL

I remember not long ago, I was in Toys r us with my kids……… As an experiment, I started to speak to everyone I saw…… The usual hey, how are you, and people were looking at me like I was crazy! Am I really? One kid I said hello to was in shock. He kept looking at me like I was possessed or something.

What is so wrong in talking with one another? I think the whole don’t talk to strangers has been taken out of context. Not in the fact that our kids should not be aware of what is going on, but in the context that when we are amongst each other, we should take more of an aggressive approach in being the one to crack the Ice.

Never again should you be stuck in an elevator of silence. Conversation is not an invitation to letting someone into your life. It is about spreading good energy to one another and having that spread to others.

New Software Increases Website Sales By Up To 40%

There is new software I have been testing on one of my websites that has dramatically increased my closure rate on the site. The software is named virtual smart agent and it acts like a virtual sales agent on your site. In the past I tested live chat and a few of the other software’s out there but this one is very different.

The one really nice thing about the software is you don’t have to wait around by your computer like some of the other live chat software’s waiting for someone to engage you. This software pops up a small window when the visitor leaves your website. It makes a quick sales pitch before the visitor leaves like if you buy today you receive 25% on our special widget. It then can engage the visitor and can tell them the benefits of the product. The software can also be programmed to have either a man or a women smart agent. You can also use a virtual agent that looks like a cartoon figure.

The virtual smart agent can be programmed to do many things other than just sales function alone. It can be programmed to be a customer service agent. The responses are canned so it goes down through a list of things to say. You can ask it questions and it’s programmed to answer them. The software is pretty amazing really. It can take the place of several people in your organization like sales, service and even reception.

We use our virtual smart agent for the sales function. It takes about two weeks to program the system with the help from the factory. The virtual smart agent is really great for us because we are located in Thailand and our customer base is in America so we have exactly a twelve hour time difference between New York and Bangkok time zones. This would be impossible for us to cover the computer if we were using live chat software or any type of live help just due to the logistics of our location. The virtual agent works 24/7 providing us an online presence when we are at home, on holiday or just out of the office.

Another great feature about a virtual smart agent is that it keeps a customer on your site for a longer period of time making your website stickier. It’s fun to engage the virtual sales agent and have a discussion with it. It’s artificial intelligence it the best form, that of a real human talking sales agent. I personally believe that the software has resulted in several sales that would be normally lost without the system. As time goes on we are trying new and better ideas like having the agent give away free e-book and other promotion items in exchange for their email address. This is so we can email them their promotional item and then later follow up with other offers and promotions.

Affiliate marketers that are trying to get sign-ups on their lead capture page would be foolish not to consider using this software on their website. I haven’t tested the software with traffic on PPC sites but I would imagine it would work just fine. Conversion from visitors to customer has had a big impact on my site I am testing and the bottom line of the site. Any site that has traffic but a conversion problem would be a good candidate for this product.

In summary, if you’re a website owner, affiliate marketer or a business owner with a website I recommend highly trying the virtual smart agent software package. We found that using it has caused a measurable increase in conversions and in sales by using the software and pleased with the low cost of implementation onto our site.

Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day,

Hope everyone has a wonderful day! This will be a tough day but as I have said many times every day is hard and I know that we will get through it fine. Having a wonderful dinner with my mom and Matt's mom.

For those of you wondering about Mariah she is great. She has improved her grades to all A's and B's and she is working on 2 C's. I have to admit it was a bit tough on both of us but sometimes tough love does pay off.

She has also made the Highschool Majorettes Squad for next year and the only 8th grader to have made it. She is really excited. She has become quite the teenager this year and it is really hard to balance at times but we are getting thru. I so remember those days with my mom growing up so we should be in for some fun times ahead.

As for myself I have been really missing my little guy and Teddy! Carter's headstone is just about ready for the making. Hopefully it will be done very soon and set up. I am stressing a bit about fundraising for another event for Mariah but as always things work out. Spent the day with my Aunt Val sewing today for Modernette props for Notre Dame and I am sure that is not the end of my volunteering duties with that. Soon she will be practicing every day for the National Competition trip. I am not looking forward to getting up every morning and driving her there before work and picking her up on my lunch hour. But seeing her perform pays off she is so proud of herself and so is everone else!

We also are having a wonderful visit from my dear friend from New York Melissa (Dylan's mom). It is very nice to see her and have late night chats again. I am definately looking forward to summer weather and so is Mariah she keeps asking when we are going to Florida again she really loves the beach. Don't we all! I keep telling her not sure if that is something we can do this summer because of me just starting the new job and getting time off but I will certainly try!

Well I think I have rambled enough for this evening but just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day and for all those mothers that will be remembering the good times with their Angels Sunday! I certainly know that Carter will be on my mind the entire day but will have to remember that I still have Mariah and am so thankful to share that with her!
