Well now.
Would you look at that.

It seems the reports of Malu Fernandez' literary demise were somewhat exaggerated. Why am I not surprised?

Rom, please verify the date. If this is true, then I may need to revise my yet-to-be-published post. the "i think" part of your response does concern me, and I'm wondering if this picture is from your own camera, or if someone sent it to you.
We obviously need to verify such things before anything is said about it. Schumey and CVJ had informed about this, but so far, you are the only source that I can find regarding this piece of information. |

I have been trying to corroborate the post I saw here as well. The first thing I did was to look at the date of the issue where the piece appeared. And there it was, in the Aug. 27 issue of the Manila Standard Today, p. C1.
Freedom Watch also posted four pics of the piece in its blog www.cmfr-phil.blogspot.com. Please check here:

The reason why I looked at the actual copy of the Manila Standard Today was because, like everyone else, I was also intrigued by Rom's photo.
That piece appeared on the August 27 issue of the Manila Standard Today, p. C1. I took the photos myself of the actual copy.
I think Nick however was right when he said that maybe this have already been printed before the resignation was tendered. So let's see. If by Sept. 3 no Fernandez's column appeared, then it could be as such.
Rom: No problem. I am just as curious and eager as to see how this issue ends. |
