Lisa Landry is one of the most fearless and innovative women working in the New York City stand-up comedy scene. This break out talent recently starred in her own half-hour special "Comedy Central Presents Lisa Landry"- set to air early in 2007- and can be seen in the frequent re-runs of her 2005 appearance on Comedy Central's popular show "Premium Blend."
The Louisiana native is one of the wisecracking gals on "Brett Butler Presents: The Southern Belles of Comedy" and a commentator on E!'s "Forbes Top 100 Celebrities." She's made guest appearances on Fox's "Mike and Juliet in the Morning Show" and on the outrageous "Hollyweird" segment on MSNBC's "Scarborough Country". Her comedy routines can be heard on Sirius Satellite Radio's "Raw Dog" and "Blue Collar Comedy" channels and she's often in their studios doing live interviews, too.
An extremely versatile performer- she's also recorded a wide-range of voice over spots for radio (Nextel, Cingular), industrials (Yahoo, Bell South) and television (the Travel Channel, A&E), co-starred on "Law and Order: SVU" and is a contributing writer to US Weekly's satirical "Fashion Police."
One of the most sought-after female comedians in the business, her hectic schedule keeps her constantly on-stage at clubs, theaters and colleges throughout the country. When Landry's in NYC, she's a regular at the Comic Strip Live, Gotham Comedy Club and the Comedy Cellar. Lisa Landry's easy going style- along with her sharp wit, unique perspective and well-crafted material- makes her an audience favorite.

Thursday, October 25, 2007 - Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!
In honor and support of one of our most famous alumni, the Comic Strip Live will be offering FREE admission to anyone who sees Jerry Seinfeld’s “Bee Movie.” You just have to show their ticket stubs at the door. The offer will remain standing indefinitely.
“You dream about the 9 o'clock spot on Saturday night at the Comic Strip Live." Jerry Seinfeld once told Liz Smith of the New York Post.
In addition to “Bee Movie,” the Comic Strip Live will also be hosting a “Jerry Seinfeld Tribute Night” on Thursday, November 15th at 8:30 pm. It will feature a ‘best Seinfeld impression’ contest (open to all audiences), memorabilia on display from Jerry’s early years in comedy, and will feature an all-star line up headlined by Rob Magnotti who will do his entire set as Jerry Seinfeld.
To enter the competition and to make a reservation for this soon to be sold out show, please call (212) 861-9386.

Latin American Comedy is exploding in New York City. The core of this trend takes place every last Thursday of the month at the Comic Strip Live with Comedy Caliente. It has grown so popular, that we had to add a second show (which sold out just as fast as the first one). If you haven't attended a Caliente show yet, you are literally missing out on the best party you've ever attended x 5. Call (212) 861-9386 to reserve a seat at the next show - if you're lucky, we may have a seat left.
