Thursday, April 26, 2007 - Day 3
Made it back to the gym today.
Feel great, hella sore but it feels good. I made it 25 minutes on the treadmill today at 3.8 mph, 2 of which were jogging at 5.0 mph. I was getting tired so I kicked it up to a jog to get back into the "zone". Altogether I went over 1.5 miles. I really enjoy it, however I can thank my MP3 player for getting me into the "zone". When I first got on the treadmill my shins were on fire, but I walked through the pain and after 5 minutes it was gone. I also had my water aerobics class tonight and pushed hard again, pushed through all the soreness and it felt great. After the class I swam laps for about 10 minutes, around 1500 yards. I also have done 1 set of crunches/push ups and will do my last set before bed. My whole body aches, but its a good ache. An ache that means it is waking up and getting into shape.
I am trying to stay up on not eating as much, its amazing the habitual eating people get into. Let me explain; sitting at the computer snacking, eating when your spouse eats, eating because you are used to eating. I have been snacking on veggies and rice cakes today (both of which I just happen to love so no hardship there lol). However I am still trying to keep it rationed with in reason. I dont want unrealistic goals.
I was able to eat supper before the gym today, however I am not used to eating so early so I ate a grilled chicken breast when I got home. But usually I would eat a big supper that late so I am happy with the progress and changes I am making so far.
My overall energy has already doubled, I am tired and sore but feel good. I actually feel awake, more awake then I have been in a long time. However I am trying to get into better sleeping habits as well so I am fixing to get ready for bed lol.

Wednesday, April 25, 2007 - Day 2
Didnt get to go to the gym today, pretty bummed at that. We had company come over and forgot all about it. Did good with meals though. I would like to stop drinking pop, so I am not going to buy the kind I drink anymore. I like tea and can use splenda in it. Not too happy atm, miss the gym. I felt great last night and this morning, sore but great. I AM going tomorrow company or no.

Tuesday, April 24, 2007 - work out routine
As of right now I am only going to focus on cardio really.
Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays:
Treadmill: atleast 30 min at 3.7mph or higher
Water Aerobics: 1 hour
Crunches: 2 sets of 50
Push ups: 2 sets of 10
Wednesdays, and Fridays:
Treadmill: atleast 30 min at 3.7 mph or higher
Swim laps for atleast 20 minutes
Crunches: 2 sets of 50
Push ups: 2 sets of 10
Saturdays and Sundays:
Crunches: 2 sets of 50
Push ups: 2 sets of 10
Leisure Days mostly

Tuesday, April 24, 2007 - Day 1
Went to the gym and made it 28 minutes on the treadmill at 3.7mph until Kaykay got too fussy. I also did 1 hour of water aerobics (Heath watched Kaykay for me), I was impressed with this class. I thought it was going to be a joke and more of a cool down for me then a work out, however it is as much of a work out as you want it to be. I pushed it hard I am going to be hella sore tomorrow lol.
It felt good to come home after working out. My energy level has already been altered for the better. I am still very excited. I will also be posting my workout routine as soon as I am done with this blog. I came home and ate a sub from subway however I would like to try and eat supper before the gym so I can get out of the eating late habit.

Tuesday, April 24, 2007 - The begining...
Well we started our gym memberships today.
I am excited, I am just ready to feel healthy. I dont need to look like a swimsuit model or even want to for that matter. But I do want to be able to go for walk and not hurt, or make love and not need to be on bottom because of endurance issues, and I would love for my clothes to fit better (and by clothes I mean my cute old clothes that are just filling space in my closet).
I am going to be keeping this blog for me, if you read it okay if you dont okay. I just want to be able to track my progress and vent if I need to. I also started a journal to track weight/calorie--fat intake/BMI/activities at www.Fitday.com where I can see graphs and charts of my progress. I am also going to be posting pictures of me in here that well, are not exactly flattering but I want to be able to take the same pictures in the same outfit once a week and watch the changes occur. This is the first time I have actually involved so many layers to losing weight. It is like a project and I am always good at sticking to projects. I am just so excited I cant wait to feel great.
I should add I have always been active. I have bene in Tae Kwon Do for 21 years. And worked out at home every morning until my Junior year of high school. However since I went to college, and got married...I got lazy.
Well, till I blog about my workout tonight and my starting stats and pictures I am done for now.
